Seeking Stories for Educators on FIOR Interview Series

For the first time in almost a year, I’m not running an Educator on FIOR interview on the regular day. Today’s post is a simple request – I’m seeking more educators to join our dozens of participants. You can help inspire other educators.

I’d love to feature YOUR story!

Almost a year ago I launched the Educators on FIOR (financial independence optional retirement) interview series as a way to share the stories of educators taking charge of their finances. It has exceeded every expectation – the stories have been great. We’ve had a huge variety of participants, and I’ve made great friends and connections. Today is the first time I haven’t had an interview ready to run – and I’d love to keep the series going.

When I first launched, I ran an interview every week due to the instant interest. After a few months, I switched to my original plan of running interviews twice a month. Without any recruiting at all, I have been able to share almost a full year of interviews. That’s amazing!

Now, if I want to keep sharing stories of educators taking charge of their finances, it’s time to do a bit of recruiting. If you haven’t participated yet – drop me a line. Or, if you know someone who has a story to share point them my way.

The good news – it’s easy! 

Here’s how it works:

• I send you a set of questions
• You write responses at your own pace
• Return your answers back to me (including any photos you’d like published)
• I publish in the order I receive responses (I’ll notify you of your future publication date)

That’s it! 

Everyone has a financial story to share. It doesn’t matter if you’re just becoming aware of your finances, paying down debt, building to financial independence, or already retired. The only requirement is that you are somehow involved with education – you work in, or support schools!

We’ve featured principals, custodians, education assistants, and lots of teachers. Public, private, international schools – all are represented. Join them!
